    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                        De Randle Calvert White
    1-5        WHEREAS, The City of Huntsville lost one of its most
    1-6  well-loved citizens with the death of De Randle Calvert White
    1-7  on March 12, 1993, at the age of 85; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, She will be remembered for her devotion to her
    1-9  family and friends, her love of nature, and her boundless energy;
   1-10  and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Born in Gilmer, Texas, De Randle was one of nine
   1-12  children born to Louis Evans and Ada Victoria Ray Calvert; she
   1-13  graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College and married
   1-14  Glen Allen White in 1931; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, A dedicated and industrious wife and mother,
   1-16  Mrs. White provided a loving home for her family; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A member of the First Baptist Church of Huntsville,
   1-18  Mrs. White was a devout Christian who lived her faith in her daily
   1-19  life; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, She leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment
   1-21  that will remain cherished by those whose lives she touched; now,
   1-22  therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family
    2-2  members of De Randle Calvert White:  her sons, Bill and David; her
    2-3  daughters, Ginger and Glenda; her sisters, Louise Crow and
    2-4  Vannie Mae Monroe; her brothers, Buster and Evans Calvert; her
    2-5  sisters-in-law, Una McGown, Willie Shepard, and Winifred Trant; and
    2-6  her 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-8  members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
    2-9  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
   2-10  in memory of De Randle Calvert White.
