No. 562 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Nora Elizabeth Nava Kraatz 1-5 WHEREAS, The death of Nora Elizabeth Nava Kraatz of 1-6 Victoria, Texas, on March 29, 1993, at the age of 78, was deeply 1-7 mourned by her fellow residents; and 1-8 WHEREAS, She is remembered for the affection, confidence, 1-9 and loyalty she inspired in those who knew and loved her; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The esteemed individual was born on 1-11 December 28, 1914, to the late Clem and Agnes Smith Nava 1-12 and was active in the life of the Victoria community; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Mrs. Kraatz was a devoted wife and mother who 1-14 provided a loving home for her family; and 1-15 WHEREAS, A devout Christian who lived her faith in her 1-16 daily life, Mrs. Kraatz was a member of Our Lady of Victory 1-17 Catholic Church; and 1-18 WHEREAS, She leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment 1-19 that will remain cherished by those who were privileged to know 1-20 her; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-22 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the 1-23 family members of Nora Elizabeth Nava Kraatz: her husband, 2-1 Adolph William Kraatz, Sr.; her daughter, Shirley Kraatz; her 2-2 sons, William Adolph Kraatz and Billy Wayne Kraatz; her sister, 2-3 Olivia Lopez; her brothers, Clem, John, and Albert Nava; and her 2-4 four grandchildren; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-6 the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy 2-7 from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, 2-8 it do so in memory of Nora Elizabeth Nava Kraatz. 2-9 _____________________________________ 2-10 President of the Senate 2-11 I hereby certify that the 2-12 above Resolution was adopted by 2-13 the Senate on April 7, 1993, 2-14 by a rising vote. 2-15 _____________________________________ 2-16 Secretary of the Senate 2-17 _____________________________________ 2-18 Member, Texas Senate
