No. 572 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Birthdays are occasions to be joyously 1-3 celebrated, and so it was for Leatrice Hensley of Marlin, Texas, 1-4 on March 5, 1993, when she was the guest of honor on her special 1-5 day; and 1-6 WHEREAS, This being her 101st birthday, she has been 1-7 privileged to witness events most of us only read about in history 1-8 books; and 1-9 WHEREAS, The blessings of her long sojourn in this world 1-10 are evident as she recalls tales of years past; Leatrice has 1-11 earned respect and friendship from all who know her; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Still a vital member of her community, she is 1-13 noted for her exemplary enthusiasm for living each day to the 1-14 fullest; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Friends and relatives of this beloved individual 1-16 gathered at Elmwood Nursing Center to honor her in a manner best 1-17 befitting the event; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 73rd Legislature, hereby declare Leatrice Hensley a treasured 1-20 citizen of her town and state, wishing her many more years of 1-21 health and happiness; and, be it further 1-22 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to her as 1-23 a token of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-1 _____________________________________ 2-2 President of the Senate 2-3 I hereby certify that the 2-4 above Resolution was adopted by 2-5 the Senate on April 7, 1993. 2-6 _____________________________________ 2-7 Secretary of the Senate 2-8 _____________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
