    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                          Lela Vincent Fuchs
    1-5        WHEREAS, The City of Bryan mourned the passing of
    1-6  Lela Vincent Fuchs, one of the city's most beloved citizens,
    1-7  who died March 18, 1993, at the age of 93; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Mrs. Fuchs will be remembered for her devotion to
    1-9  her family, her friends, and her church; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Born in Grimes County on May 5, 1899, Mrs. Fuchs
   1-11  lived in Bryan all of her life; a dedicated wife and mother, she
   1-12  married Jim E. Vincent and provided a loving home for her family;
   1-13  after his death she married Henry Fuchs; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, A charter member of College Heights Assembly of God
   1-15  Church, Mrs. Fuchs was a devout Christian who practiced her faith
   1-16  in her daily life; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, She was an attentive and nurturing grandmother who
   1-18  delighted her grandchildren with her collection of interesting and
   1-19  entertaining stories; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Known for her wonderful sense of humor and her
   1-21  ability to enjoy life, the remarkable individual lived each day
   1-22  to the fullest; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, She leaves a legacy of warmth and compassion that
    2-1  will be remembered with gratitude by those who knew and loved her;
    2-2  now, therefore, be it
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-4  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-5  family members of Lela Vincent Fuchs:  her son and
    2-6  daughter-in-law, James E. and Alice Vincent; her daughter and
    2-7  son-in-law, Doris Louise and J. Ray Sanders; her stepdaughter and
    2-8  her husband, Maureen Fuchs and Floyd Muschinski; her brother and
    2-9  sister-in-law, Milton and Florence Allen; her sister and
   2-10  brother-in-law, Lurline and Guy Swank; her sister-in-law,
   2-11  Gloria Allen; and her four grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren;
   2-12  and, be it further
   2-13        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-14  members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
   2-15  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
   2-16  in memory of Lela Vincent Fuchs.
