    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is proud to recognize
    1-3  Darylin Smith on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; this fine
    1-4  young man joined the elite corps of Eagles recently and was
    1-5  presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of Honor; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two
    1-7  out of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the rank
    1-8  of Eagle Scout; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
   1-10  promise, Darylin Smith advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot,
   1-11  Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout;
   1-12  and
   1-13        WHEREAS, This personable young man displayed leadership
   1-14  through planning, developing, and conducting a service project;
   1-15  he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens
   1-16  of his community; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, Darylin Smith brings
   1-18  great honor to himself, his family, Troop 484, his community, and
   1-19  his state; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Darylin Smith on receiving this
   1-22  prestigious honor and congratulate him on his outstanding
   1-23  achievement; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  Darylin Smith as an expression of high regard and esteem from the
    2-3  Texas Senate.
