                                   SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code,
    1-2  authorizes each house of the legislature, by resolution, to create
    1-3  a general investigating committee; now, therefore, be it
    1-4        RESOLVED, That the General Investigating Committee of the
    1-5  Senate of Texas be hereby created; and, be it further
    1-6        RESOLVED, That the committee consist consist of five senators
    1-7  appointed by the president of the senate, and that the president of
    1-8  the senate designate from among the members of the committee the
    1-9  senators to serve as chair and vice-chair; and, be it further
   1-10        RESOLVED, That the committee have all the committee have all
   1-11  the powers and duties and operate according to the procedures
   1-12  prescribed by Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code, and the
   1-13  Rules of the Senate, as applicable.
