                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code,
    1-2  authorizes each house of the legislature, by resolution, to create
    1-3  a general investigating committee; now, therefore, be it
    1-4        RESOLVED, That the General Investigating Committee of the
    1-5  Senate of Texas be hereby created; and, be it further
    1-6        RESOLVED, That the committee consist of five senators
    1-7  appointed by the president of the senate, and that the president of
    1-8  the senate designate from among the members of the committee the
    1-9  senators to serve as chair and vice-chair; and, be it further
   1-10        RESOLVED, That the committee have all the powers and duties
   1-11  and operate according to the procedures prescribed by Subchapter B,
   1-12  Chapter 301, Government Code, and the rules of the senate, as
   1-13  applicable.
