No. 618 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Clarence Traube was presented with the Service to 1-3 Mankind Award by the Evening Sertoma Club of Port Arthur, and the 1-4 Texas Senate is pleased to extend congratulations to him for 1-5 receiving this important recognition; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A resident of Port Arthur since 1944, 1-7 Mr. Traube married Winona Dyson in 1945, and they have a daughter, 1-8 Joan Ann Gray, and a son, Mike Traube, and five wonderful 1-9 grandchildren; and 1-10 WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Traube is an active 1-11 member of Saint James Catholic Church where he serves as an 1-12 usher and chairman and teacher of the Confraternity of Christian 1-13 Doctrine class; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Always active in civic endeavors, Mr. Traube 1-15 serves many varied and worthwhile causes; a Little League baseball 1-16 coach in Port Arthur for 30 years, he is past president and 1-17 currently treasurer of the American Association of Retired Persons 1-18 and a member of the Port Arthur Finance Committee; and 1-19 WHEREAS, He has earned the respect and confidence of those 1-20 with whom he associates by his willingness to help wherever and 1-21 whenever his assistance is needed; he is past president and member 1-22 of the board of directors of Texaco Port Arthur Works Employees 1-23 Credit Union, and he has contributed his expertise to his community 2-1 by serving as student advisor for the Lamar Student Chapter of the 2-2 American Society of Civil Engineers; truly this outstanding gentleman 2-3 is worthy of legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-5 73rd Legislature, hereby commend and applaud Clarence Traube for 2-6 his exemplary contributions to his community; and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-8 Clarence Traube as an expression of high regard from the 2-9 Texas Senate. 2-10 _____________________________________ 2-11 President of the Senate 2-12 I hereby certify that the 2-13 above Resolution was adopted by 2-14 the Senate on April 15, 1993. 2-15 _____________________________________ 2-16 Secretary of the Senate 2-17 _____________________________________ 2-18 Member, Texas Senate
