    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-3  recognize Child Care Licensing, the El Paso division of the Texas
    1-4  Department of Protective and Regulatory Services; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Child Care Licensing is invested with the enormous
    1-6  responsibility of ensuring the safety and well-being of our young
    1-7  children; they are the watchdogs of our future; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, The goal of the agency is to draw attention to
    1-9  the importance of the environment that surrounds our very young
   1-10  children; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The future of our state and of our world depends on
   1-12  the quality of care provided for our very young people; adults who
   1-13  have enjoyed an early childhood that prepares them to take full
   1-14  advantage of their educational opportunities become productive
   1-15  citizens in our communities of tomorrow; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Child Care Licensing seeks to emphasize the
   1-17  importance of early childhood experiences and encourage the
   1-18  availability of such services for all our citizens; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, High quality early childhood services represent
   1-20  a worthy commitment to the future of our children; now, therefore,
   1-21  be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Child Care Licensing for requiring
    2-1  and setting standards for high quality child care; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  Child Care Licensing as an expression of gratitude from the
    2-4  Texas Senate for a difficult job well done.
