    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Lantrip Elementary Parent-Teacher Association
    1-3  and the Eastwood Civic Association are hosting "Operation Community
    1-4  Lending Education Assistance in Nature (CLEAN)" and will dedicate
    1-5  the school's new recycling bin with a special ceremony on
    1-6  April 17, 1993; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, An environmental science magnet school in the
    1-8  Eastwood area of Houston, Lantrip Elementary School recently
    1-9  received a recycling bin for newspapers and magazines from
   1-10  Champion Paper Company; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The school is using the bin to teach children the
   1-12  importance of recycling and has also dedicated it to the community
   1-13  to promote environmental consciousness; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Lantrip Elementary School and the Eastwood Civic
   1-15  Association are working to increase public awareness in their
   1-16  neighborhood of the necessity of protecting and beautifying the
   1-17  environment; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is pleased to recognize Lantrip
   1-19  Elementary Parent-Teacher Association and the Eastwood Civic
   1-20  Association for their superb efforts to improve their city's
   1-21  environment and to educate their community of the importance of
   1-22  conserving and protecting our natural resources; now, therefore,
   1-23  be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-2  73rd Legislature, hereby commend the students, teachers, and
    2-3  parents of Lantrip Elementary School and the members of the
    2-4  Eastwood Civic Association for their notable efforts to promote
    2-5  environmental awareness; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an
    2-7  expression of the admiration of the Texas Senate with best wishes
    2-8  for a most successful dedication.
