    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Jon Lowery of Crockett was recently named
    1-3  Coach of the Year for District 20-3A by his peers; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The prestigious award honors Coach Lowery for
    1-5  leading the Crockett Varsity Basketball Team to the district
    1-6  championship this year along with a bi-district title in the
    1-7  state playoffs; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Under his superb coaching the Bulldogs ended the
    1-9  1992-1993 season with an enviable 24-5 record; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Becoming the basketball team's coach during
   1-11  midseason last year, Coach Lowery has instilled in his young
   1-12  players a desire to achieve excellence and to play an aggressive
   1-13  game fairly and competitively; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, The success of the team is a tribute to the
   1-15  dedication, patience, and inspiration of its outstanding coach;
   1-16  and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Jon Lowery has brought recognition to himself and
   1-18  to the Crockett Bulldogs; he is truly deserving of the honor
   1-19  accorded him; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Jon Lowery
   1-22  for being named Coach of the Year and extend best wishes to him
   1-23  for much future success; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
    2-2  for Coach Lowery as an expression of the high regard of the
    2-3  Texas Senate.
