    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas proudly recognizes
    1-3  Elder Prince Earl Bryant, Sr., for his 30 years of loyal service
    1-4  with the Churches of God in Christ; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Elder Bryant became pastor of Houston's Greater
    1-6  Anderson Memorial Church in 1985; he has raised $55,000 for general
    1-7  improvements to the church property and purchased 10 lots and two
    1-8  duplexes; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, With Elder Bryant's guidance, Anderson Memorial
   1-10  Church has recruited more than 250 new members into the church and
   1-11  established a food pantry that serves around 200 people weekly; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Over the last 30 years, Elder Bryant has ministered
   1-13  faithfully to the physical and spiritual needs of innumerable
   1-14  Christians; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Under Elder Bryant's outstanding leadership, the
   1-16  church has provided enlightenment, hope, and support to the
   1-17  community; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Inspirational and caring, this beloved pastor has
   1-19  dedicated his time and energy unselfishly to the members of his
   1-20  church and the residents of Houston; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, A man of spiritual depth and devotion, Elder Bryant
   1-22  has performed countless ceremonies and has prayed for and counselled
   1-23  his  church members during their hardships and in times of
    2-1  bereavement and joy; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, Countless Houston citizens are grateful for the
    2-3  positive influence Elder Bryant has had in their lives; now,
    2-4  therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-6  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Elder Prince Earl Bryant, Sr.,
    2-7  for his 30 years of illustrious service in the work of God and
    2-8  commend him for his fervent service to the church, his fellowman,
    2-9  and his community; and, be it further
   2-10        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-11  Elder Prince Earl Bryant, Sr., as an expression of high regard from
   2-12  the Texas Senate.
