    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-3  welcome Tadanabu Umeyama and a delegation of Executive Board
    1-4  Members from Zendentsu, Japan Telecommunications Workers Union,
    1-5  to the Capital City; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, These distinguished visitors have journeyed from
    1-7  Oita Shi, Japan, to renew their ties of friendship with members
    1-8  of Local 6132 Communications Workers of America in Austin; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, During their visit, the members of both unions will
   1-10  broaden their understanding of and appreciation for each other's
   1-11  cultures and countries; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, While in Texas, the visitors will have an
   1-13  opportunity to experience Texas warmth and hospitality firsthand,
   1-14  and their friends at Local 6132 are eager to reveal the mysteries
   1-15  shrouding barbecue, Stetsons, and J. R. Ewing; now, therefore, be it
   1-16        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-17  73rd Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to the Executive
   1-18  Board Members from Zendentsu for a most enjoyable and rewarding
   1-19  sojourn in the Lone Star State; and, be it further
   1-20        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   1-21  each member as an expression of high esteem and respect from the
   1-22  Texas Senate.
