By: Montford S.R. No. 668 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride 1-3 in recognizing Bobby G. Rogers for his 40 years of loyal service 1-4 as a court reporter for the courts of Texas; and 1-5 WHEREAS, During his successful career, Bobby Rogers has 1-6 served the 64th, 154th, and 99th District Courts, as well as 1-7 County Court at Law No. 2; and 1-8 WHEREAS, His court reporting has included work for the 1-9 West Texas counties of Hale, Lamb, Parmer, Swisher, Castro, Bailey, 1-10 and Lubbock, where he is well known by people in the legal system 1-11 for his expertise and dependability; and 1-12 WHEREAS, A talented individual and an exceptionally 1-13 skillful court reporter, Bobby Rogers has contributed significantly 1-14 to the efficient documentation of four decades of judicial 1-15 proceedings; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Mr. Rogers became president of the Texas Shorthand 1-17 Reporters Association in 1967 after serving as secretary-treasurer 1-18 from 1960 through 1966; and 1-19 WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary gentleman, 1-20 Bobby Rogers is respected and well liked by his colleagues in 1-21 the judicial system, and his presence in the courts will be 1-22 greatly missed; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 73rd Legislature, hereby commend Bobby Rogers for his many 2-2 accomplishments as a court reporter and extend best wishes to 2-3 him for happiness in the retirement years ahead; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared 2-5 for him as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate. 2-6 _____________________________________ 2-7 President of the Senate 2-8 I hereby certify that the 2-9 above Resolution was adopted by 2-10 the Senate on April 21, 1993. 2-11 _____________________________________ 2-12 Secretary of the Senate 2-13 _____________________________________ 2-14 Member, Texas Senate
