    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Booker T. Williams, Jr., who has been selected as the
    1-4  recipient of the Community Involvement award by the Cameron Area
    1-5  Chamber of Commerce; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Mr. Williams was honored at the chamber's 59th
    1-7  annual banquet for his outstanding work in the community; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Minister of the Orchard Street Church of Christ,
    1-9  Mr. Williams is a founding member of the Concerned Parents and
   1-10  Citizens Organization as well as numerous other civic groups; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Devoted to the members of the community and to the
   1-12  members of his church, Mr. Williams has ministered faithfully to
   1-13  the needs of innumerable Cameron citizens; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, His dedication and generous spirit have greatly
   1-15  benefitted area residents, and he is a beloved and respected leader;
   1-16  and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary gentleman,
   1-18  Mr. Williams is a source of strength to many, and his worthy
   1-19  accomplishments reflect his dedication and his commitment to his
   1-20  fellowman; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Booker T. Williams, Jr., for his
   1-23  invaluable contributions to the Cameron community and extend best
    2-1  wishes to him for the future; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  him as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate.
