    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                        Felix Durward McLemore
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins with the
    1-6  City of Georgetown in mourning the loss of Felix Durward McLemore
    1-7  who died on March 13, 1993; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Felix McLemore was born on May 6, 1911, in
    1-9  Ellis County to Emma Jeanette Spears McLemore and Jesse McLemore;
   1-10  and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Felix McLemore married Floy Aline Roe in
   1-12  Altus, Oklahoma, on July 15, 1932; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. McLemore mastered several careers during his
   1-14  long professional life; he was superintendent for Brown and Root
   1-15  and was involved in the construction of Buchanan, Marshall Ford,
   1-16  and Marble Falls dams; he owned and operated McLemore's Grocery
   1-17  on 19th Street in Austin; he was a superintendent for Holland Page
   1-18  Construction; and he also owned and operated the Gulf service
   1-19  station and garage located on Koenig Lane in Austin; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, After officially retiring, Mr. McLemore was
   1-21  involved in establishing Macum Trailers; he worked there until
   1-22  his second retirement in 1981; Mr. and Mrs. McLemore then moved
   1-23  to Georgetown where they were active members of Crestview Baptist
    2-1  Church; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, This respected gentleman's varied and notable
    2-3  accomplishments contributed greatly to the development and progress
    2-4  of his community; and
    2-5        WHEREAS, Highly esteemed by his fellow citizens,
    2-6  Mr. McLemore was unquestionably a man of high principles and
    2-7  integrity; his passing is mourned by all who knew him; and
    2-8        WHEREAS, His wise counsel and good judgment will be greatly
    2-9  missed and remembered with gratitude by those whose lives he
   2-10  touched; now, therefore, be it
   2-11        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   2-12  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to
   2-13  the members of his family:  his wife, Floy Aline; his
   2-14  sons, Felix Durward McLemore, Jr., Ted R. McLemore, and
   2-15  Charles M. McLemore; his sister, Montie Lee Fox; and his
   2-16  13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and, be it further
   2-17        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-18  the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
   2-19  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-20  it do so in memory of Felix Durward McLemore.
