    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is highly pleased
    1-3  to recognize Evelyn Felfe who was presented with the Meritorious
    1-4  Award by the Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce at its 39th annual
    1-5  banquet held on March 1, 1993; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce presents this
    1-7  award to an outstanding citizen who is dedicated to the community,
    1-8  and Evelyn Felfe is such a woman; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, President of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary,
   1-10  Mrs. Felfe is an active member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church; she has
   1-11  baked and decorated an extraordinarily large number of wedding cakes,
   1-12  keeps beautiful flowers growing in her garden, and tends a very large
   1-13  vegetable garden; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, In addition to her many other activities, Mrs. Felfe
   1-15  has helped decorate many of the Veterans of Foreign Wars floats in
   1-16  the local parades; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, This extremely capable lady is clearly such an asset
   1-18  to her community that Thorndale is fortunate to count her among its
   1-19  residents; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Evelyn Felfe
   1-22  for earning the Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce's Meritorious
   1-23  Award; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
    2-2  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
