    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                          Janie Lois Campbell
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
    1-6  citizens of Centerville, Texas, in mourning the loss of one of the
    1-7  community's most beloved citizens, Janie Lois Campbell, who died
    1-8  March 21, 1993; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Born in Onalaska, Texas, to Robert and
   1-10  Eugenia Sauls, Janie married Harris Campbell on May 24, 1938; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, She attended Sam Houston State University where
   1-12  she earned a bachelor of science and master's degree in education
   1-13  and later obtained a Library Science Certification; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, A dedicated and diligent educator, Mrs. Campbell
   1-15  taught in the public schools of Texas for 33 years; during her long
   1-16  career she ably served as principal of Centerville Elementary School,
   1-17  taught English in high school, and was assistant librarian at Blinn
   1-18  College in Brenham; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mrs. Campbell taught the
   1-20  Adult Sunday School Class and was the church librarian of the
   1-21  Centerville Methodist Church; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, Her wise counsel and sound judgment will be deeply
   1-23  missed and remembered with gratitude by those who knew her; now,
    2-1  therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family
    2-4  members of Janie Lois Campbell:  her husband, Harris; her son and
    2-5  daughter-in-law, Robert Harris and Ellis Campbell; her daughter and
    2-6  son-in-law, Kay and Jeff Walker; her brother, R. E. Sauls; her
    2-7  brother and sister-in-law, R. L. and Pauline Sauls; her sister and
    2-8  brother-in-law, Dixie and Fred Hill; and her four grandchildren;
    2-9  and, be it further
   2-10        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-11  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
   2-12  the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
   2-13  so in memory of Janie Lois Campbell.
