    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize ITT Educational Services, Incorporated, on the grand
    1-4  occasion of its 25th anniversary; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, In 1968, the ITT Corporation began its work in the
    1-6  educational field with three private career schools in the Midwest;
    1-7  and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Today, ITT Educational Services, Incorporated, is a
    1-9  national network of 45 technical colleges with 19,000 students in
   1-10  23 states; two of the ITT colleges are in Houston; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A high quality corporation which focuses on
   1-12  occupational education, ITT Educational Services helps to prepare
   1-13  students for their future roles in business and industry; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, The success of ITT's educational services is the
   1-15  result of a united effort by many resourceful and dedicated
   1-16  individuals, and all who have participated in the founding and
   1-17  development of this company deserve to be proud of their
   1-18  accomplishments; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, The corporation's continued commitment to excellence
   1-20  and the superior efforts of its administrators and employees are of
   1-21  significant benefit to the welfare and future of our state; now,
   1-22  therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  73rd Legislature, hereby express appreciation to ITT Educational
    2-2  Services, Incorporated, for providing outstanding educational
    2-3  services to colleges across the state; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-5  company as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
