    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in congratulating Jeffrey E. Jimenez on being named
    1-4  Student of the Week by the San Antonio Express-News; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A young adult whose future shows great promise,
    1-6  Jeffrey intends to pursue his higher education at an Ivy League
    1-7  university where he plans to study medicine and genetics; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, This exceptional young man has participated
    1-9  in many University Interscholastic League competitions and last
   1-10  year won first-place awards and second-place awards in writing
   1-11  competitions; meanwhile, he has maintained a 98.7 average at
   1-12  South San Antonio High School; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, An outstanding teenager in every way, Jeffrey is
   1-14  involved in community recycling programs, environmental awareness
   1-15  projects, and outreach programs for the needy; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Jeffrey is an asset to his community, and his
   1-17  exemplary devotion to his school and his community has earned him
   1-18  a reputation as an impressive and capable young man who has won the
   1-19  respect of all his friends; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Jeffrey E. Jimenez
   1-22  for his impressive accomplishments and wish him well in his future
   1-23  endeavors; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
    2-2  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
