    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                              Bobby Clay
    1-5        WHEREAS, The family and friends of Bobby Clay mourn the
    1-6  death of this respected citizen of Bryan on April 2, 1993; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Born in Breckenridge on October 26, 1924, Mr. Clay
    1-8  graduated from Robert Lee Paschal High School in Fort Worth in
    1-9  1943; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, After gallantly serving his country in the
   1-11  United States Navy during World War II where he was trained as
   1-12  an air traffic controller, Mr. Clay went to work for the Federal
   1-13  Aviation Administration; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, In 1953, Mr. Clay transferred to Bryan as chief air
   1-15  traffic controller at Easterwood Airport and served with great
   1-16  diligence and dedication until his retirement in 1983; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, An avid sportsman, Mr. Clay enjoyed saltwater
   1-18  fishing, golfing, and duck hunting; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A master of sports trivia and crossword puzzles,
   1-20  Bobby Clay was a feared domino opponent; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, His congenial nature and ready smile earned him
   1-22  the respect and friendship of many area residents; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, A loving husband and father, Mr. Clay cherished
    2-1  above all the time spent with his beloved family; now, therefore,
    2-2  be it
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-4  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-5  members of his family:  his sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby D.
    2-6  and Pam Clay and Earl Clay and Kim Nuche-Clay; his daughters and
    2-7  sons-in-law, Patty and Chester Wager and Peggy and Joe Ramirez, Jr.;
    2-8  and his nine grandchildren; and, be it further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-10  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
   2-11  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
   2-12  in memory of Bobby Clay.
