By: Nelson S.R. No. 736 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, April 4, 1993, will be a day long remembered and 1-3 cherished by Mr. and Mrs. Waldon G. Huddleston of Springtown, Texas, 1-4 for on that day they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Dorothy Ellen Wheat and Waldon G. Huddleston were 1-6 married in the Methodist parsonage in Bennettsville, South Carolina; 1-7 and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Huddleston have always shared the trust 1-9 and honesty that are the cornerstones of a successful marriage; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The world has changed greatly during their marriage, 1-11 yet the beloved couple has remained steadfast in traditional family 1-12 and moral values; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. and Mrs. Huddleston have 1-14 grown ever stronger in love and devotion as together they have 1-15 experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Huddleston have been blessed 1-17 with a wonderful family: their daughters, Julia Ann, Margaret, 1-18 and Mary Ruth; and their five grandchildren, Michael Moseley, 1-19 Marie Moseley, Robert Avery, Thomas Avery, and Timothy Van Zile; 1-20 and 1-21 WHEREAS, In commemoration of this milestone in their 1-22 lives, the distinguished couple was honored on April 4, 1993, with 1-23 a reception hosted by their children in the Fellowship Hall of the 2-1 First United Methodist Church; and 2-2 WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Huddleston 2-3 is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-5 73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Waldon Huddleston 2-6 on their 50th wedding anniversary with best wishes for many more 2-7 years of continued happiness; and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-9 Mr. and Mrs. Huddleston as a memento of this special day in their 2-10 lives. 2-11 _____________________________________ 2-12 President of the Senate 2-13 I hereby certify that the 2-14 above Resolution was adopted by 2-15 the Senate on April 26, 1993. 2-16 _____________________________________ 2-17 Secretary of the Senate 2-18 _____________________________________ 2-19 Member, Texas Senate
