No. 741 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-3 recognize the outstanding volunteers who work with Family 1-4 Outreach of Austin County; and 1-5 WHEREAS, These dedicated citizens will be recognized for 1-6 their work in a ceremony on May 6, 1993; and 1-7 WHEREAS, The case managers of the Texas Department of 1-8 Human Services supervise the Family Outreach Center volunteers; 1-9 and 1-10 WHEREAS, Volunteer workers are trained to provide a wide 1-11 variety of services to families at risk of abusing or neglecting 1-12 their children; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Neighborhood Family Outreach Centers provide such 1-14 service as lay counseling, parenting classes and child-caring 1-15 programs, crisis counseling/information and referral, parent 1-16 education and presentations, and the Nurturing Parent Program; and 1-17 WHEREAS, The operations of Family Outreach Centers are made 1-18 possible by the unfailing devotion of volunteers, a remarkable group 1-19 of women and men who generously contribute their time to ensure the 1-20 success of the program; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Touted for their countless hours of volunteer work, 1-22 the men and women who donate their time to this worthy cause are 1-23 rewarded with a sense of accomplishment; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-2 73rd Legislature, hereby commend and applaud the volunteers who 2-3 give so generously of their time to Family Outreach of Austin 2-4 County; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-6 the center as an expression of goodwill and appreciation from 2-7 the Texas Senate. 2-8 _____________________________________ 2-9 President of the Senate 2-10 I hereby certify that the 2-11 above Resolution was adopted by 2-12 the Senate on April 27, 1993. 2-13 _____________________________________ 2-14 Secretary of the Senate 2-15 _____________________________________ 2-16 Member, Texas Senate
