No. 748 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is proud to recognize Regina Sorrells 1-3 on achieving the Girl Scout Gold Award; this fine young woman was 1-4 presented the coveted award by the West Texas Girl Scout Council; 1-5 and 1-6 WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished award, the highest 1-7 honor bestowed on girls in the Girl Scout program; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Girl Scout oath and 1-9 promise, Regina advanced through the ranks of Girl Scouting; and 1-10 WHEREAS, This personable young lady has displayed leadership 1-11 through planning, developing, and conducting a service project; she 1-12 is truly a shining example to other Girl Scouts and citizens of her 1-13 community; and 1-14 WHEREAS, In receiving the Gold Award, Regina brings great 1-15 honor to herself, her family, her council, her community, and her 1-16 state; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-18 73rd Legislature, hereby commend Regina Sorrells on receiving 1-19 this prestigious honor and congratulate her on her outstanding 1-20 achievement; and, be it further 1-21 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared 1-22 for Regina Sorrells as an expression of high regard from the 1-23 Texas Senate. 2-1 _____________________________________ 2-2 President of the Senate 2-3 I hereby certify that the 2-4 above Resolution was adopted by 2-5 the Senate on April 27, 1993. 2-6 _____________________________________ 2-7 Secretary of the Senate 2-8 _____________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
