    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                           Elias G. Menchaca
    1-5        WHEREAS, The death of Elias G. Menchaca of San Angelo, Texas,
    1-6  on March 18, 1993, at the age of 78 was deeply mourned by his fellow
    1-7  residents; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, Mr. Menchaca will
    1-9  be remembered for his loving concern for his family and friends; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A native of Houston, Mr. Menchaca was born on
   1-11  August 29, 1914, and had lived in San Angelo for 45 years where he
   1-12  owned and operated Menchaca Used Auto Parts; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Known for his honesty and integrity, the respected
   1-14  businessman had earned the confidence and loyalty of his customers
   1-15  and business associates; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church, he was
   1-17  a devout Christian who lived his faith in his daily life; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, He leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment
   1-19  that will be cherished by those who lived and worked with him;
   1-20  now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the members
   1-23  of his family:  his wife, Soledad; his sons and daughters-in-law,
    2-1  Elias and Peggy Menchaca, Sam and Marilyn Menchaca, Reyes and
    2-2  Angie Menchaca, Robert and Debbie Menchaca, and Eddie Menchaca; his
    2-3  daughters and sons-in-law, Elodia and Albert Garza, Enriqueta and
    2-4  Martin Rios, Amanda and Manuel Gonzales, Ramona and Gumecindo Garcia,
    2-5  and Christina and Antonio Suarez; his brother, Steve Menchaca; his
    2-6  sisters, Amparo Ramirez, Mollie Mejia, and Belia Aguirre; and his
    2-7  30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and, be it further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-9  the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
   2-10  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-11  it do so in memory of Elias G. Menchaca.
