No. 769 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Don Leroy Ottinger 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins with the 1-6 citizens of Lake Jackson in mourning the loss of prominent banker 1-7 Don Leroy Ottinger who died April 20, 1993; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Born in Wichita Falls, Mr. Ottinger lived in the 1-9 Lake Jackson area for 50 years; and 1-10 WHEREAS, This respected gentleman's notable achievements 1-11 greatly influenced the development and progress of his community; 1-12 and 1-13 WHEREAS, Highly esteemed by his fellow citizens, Mr. Ottinger 1-14 played shortstop for the first Lake Jackson Little League team; and 1-15 WHEREAS, A reputable banker, Mr. Ottinger worked at the 1-16 Lake Jackson Bank for 20 years before joining American Savings and 1-17 Loan as Executive Vice-President; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Mr. Ottinger's wise counsel and good judgment will 1-19 be greatly missed and gratefully remembered by those whose lives he 1-20 influenced; and 1-21 WHEREAS, A diligent and hardworking gentleman, Don Ottinger 1-22 earned the respect and admiration of all those with whom he worked; 1-23 now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-2 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the 2-3 members of his family: his sons, Douglas Craig Ottinger and 2-4 Mark Allen Ottinger; and his grandchildren, John Douglas Ottinger 2-5 and Amanda Michelle Ottinger; and, be it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-7 members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 2-8 Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so 2-9 in memory of Don Leroy Ottinger. 2-10 _____________________________________ 2-11 President of the Senate 2-12 I hereby certify that the 2-13 above Resolution was adopted by 2-14 the Senate on April 27, 1993, 2-15 by a rising vote. 2-16 _____________________________________ 2-17 Secretary of the Senate 2-18 _____________________________________ 2-19 Member, Texas Senate
