    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                         William F. McQuillen
    1-5        WHEREAS, The family and many friends of attorney
    1-6  William F. McQuillen deeply mourn his death on April 17, 1993; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Highly esteemed by his fellow citizens, Mr. McQuillen
    1-8  had been a staff attorney for the Combined Law Enforcement
    1-9  Associations of Texas for eight years; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Mr. McQuillen frequently represented San Antonio
   1-11  police officers and Bexar County's sheriff's deputies who had been
   1-12  accused of wrongdoing; he was considered one of this area's leading
   1-13  defenders of law enforcement rights; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, A dedicated and intelligent man, this prominent
   1-15  attorney worked long hours to successfully defend an officer's
   1-16  reputation; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Mr. McQuillen's wise counsel and good judgment will
   1-18  be greatly missed and remembered with gratitude by those whose lives
   1-19  he touched; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, This respected gentleman's notable achievements
   1-21  greatly influenced the development and progress of his community and
   1-22  his state; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, A man of insight and strong ethics, Mr. McQuillen
    2-1  left a lasting standard of excellence for others to follow; now,
    2-2  therefore, be it
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-4  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sympathy to the members of his family:
    2-5  his sons, Timothy M. McQuillen and William F. McQuillen II; his
    2-6  sisters, Patricia A. McQuillen, Marcia L. Feeney, Dianne M. McQuillen,
    2-7  Kathleen L. McQuillen, and Deborah J. Kent; his brothers,
    2-8  Jeremiah J. McQuillen, Paul P. McQuillen, and Joseph B. McQuillen;
    2-9  and his wards, Juan, Pedro, and Isabel Flores; and, be it further
   2-10        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-11  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
   2-12  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
   2-13  memory of William F. McQuillen.
