    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Dennis Maass who was named the 1993 Breakfast
    1-4  Club Lion of the Year at the Giddings Chamber of Commerce
    1-5  banquet; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Dennis Maass is well known for his outstanding work
    1-7  in the Giddings community; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A gifted leader and community volunteer, Mr. Maass
    1-9  is a Giddings Breakfast Lions Club member and an active supporter
   1-10  of school groups, youth organizations, booster clubs, and sports
   1-11  organizations; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, As a Lions Club member, he has helped raise funds
   1-13  for charitable causes and given of his time freely to help the
   1-14  less fortunate; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Mr. Maass has been involved in activities which
   1-16  include providing health-related services for children, sponsoring
   1-17  services for the blind and visually impaired, and organizing food
   1-18  drives for the needy; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Exceptionally dedicated and resourceful, Mr. Maass
   1-20  is a hard worker whose concern for others is legendary; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, A wise and exemplary gentleman, a respected
   1-22  humanitarian, and a man of many talents, Mr. Maass has made
   1-23  countless contributions to the Giddings community; now, therefore,
    2-1  be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  73rd Legislature, hereby express appreciation to Dennis Maass
    2-4  for his many accomplishments and for the time and energy he has
    2-5  graciously devoted to citizens of all ages; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-7  him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
