1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, Sixty-five years ago, on March 24, 1928,
1-3 Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Murray of Huntsville, Texas, placed great
1-4 faith and trust in the future and they have been amply rewarded
1-5 as they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary; and
1-6 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably throughout
1-7 their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Murray have steadfastly embraced
1-8 traditional family and moral values; and
1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, Thelma and A. J. have grown stronger
1-10 in their friendship and devotion as together they have experienced
1-11 the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
1-12 WHEREAS, The love and respect they share are shining examples
1-13 to all who are fortunate to know them; and
1-14 WHEREAS, The couple was married in the home of her parents
1-15 in the Round Prairie community and have lived most of their lives
1-16 in Walker County; and
1-17 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Murray shared their happiness with
1-18 their family and friends at a reception at the Huntsville
1-19 Church of Christ on March 27, 1993; now, therefore, be it
1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-21 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
1-22 Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Murray on their 65th wedding anniversary; and,
1-23 be it further
2-1 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-2 this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
2-3 their lives.
