    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Tim Pitts who has been selected as the Citizen of
    1-4  the Year by the Giddings Chamber of Commerce; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Mr. Pitts has served as the manager of Brookshire
    1-6  Brothers for the past 15 years and is well known for his outstanding
    1-7  work in the Giddings community; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A dedicated volunteer, Mr. Pitts is active with
    1-9  numerous community groups and has been especially supportive of
   1-10  the youths in the area; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A highly respected leader who generously devotes
   1-12  time and energy to civic affairs, he has served as an officer of
   1-13  both the Chamber of Commerce and the Giddings Noon Lions Club; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Tim Pitts's concern for others is legendary, and he
   1-15  has played a major role in the betterment of the Giddings community;
   1-16  and
   1-17        WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Tim Pitts is a source of
   1-18  strength to many and his worthy accomplishments reflect his
   1-19  dedication and his commitment to his fellowman; now, therefore,
   1-20  be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Tim Pitts on his exceptional
   1-23  achievements and extend congratulations to him on his selection
    2-1  as Citizen of the Year; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  him as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate.
