    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Leonard Addicks for his 10 years of loyal service with
    1-4  the City of Brenham and his nine years of outstanding service as
    1-5  the Brenham City Manager; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, As a city manager, Mr. Addicks was well known
    1-7  for his expertise in coordinating the goals and activities of the
    1-8  various city departments; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Devoted to the Brenham community and to his work,
   1-10  Leonard Addicks used his superior organizational and administrative
   1-11  skills to manage effectively the far-reaching responsibilities of
   1-12  a city manager's position; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, A diplomatic and perspicacious civic leader,
   1-14  Mr. Addicks brought stability to a city administration that had
   1-15  been having some difficulties; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary gentleman,
   1-17  Leonard Addicks contributed significantly to the harmony of a
   1-18  growing city and was respected by Brenham City Council members
   1-19  and other city administrators; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The Brenham community has greatly benefitted from
   1-21  the dedication and generous spirit of this talented official; now,
   1-22  therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Leonard Addicks for his many
    2-2  years of able leadership and extend best wishes to him for the
    2-3  retirement years ahead; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
    2-5  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
