    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Arthur Behrend who was recently honored with the
    1-4  highest grade award for peanuts by the Lee County Peanut Company;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Mr. Behrend received his honor at the Giddings
    1-7  Chamber of Commerce Banquet; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, An enjoyable source of protein, peanuts are a
    1-9  nutritious and wholesome food, whether eaten as snacks, or made
   1-10  into peanut butter or salad dressing, or cooked with meats and
   1-11  vegetables; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Arthur Behrend is a superior peanut farmer
   1-13  whose agricultural skills and expertise helped to produce the
   1-14  highest-quality peanuts in his area of Texas; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Countless Texans have benefitted from Mr. Behrend's
   1-16  peanuts which are distributed throughout the state for a multitude
   1-17  of uses; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Arthur Behrend for his hard
   1-20  work and proficiency and extend congratulations to him on earning
   1-21  this award; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
   1-23  as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
