    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                              J. B. Woods
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins with the
    1-6  citizens of Huntsville in mourning the loss of J. B. Woods who
    1-7  died March 29, 1993; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born December 14, 1910, in Walker County, J. B. Woods
    1-9  was a talented builder, a lifetime member of the Walker County Fair
   1-10  Association, and president of the McAdams Cemetery Association; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Respected in the community for his many
   1-12  accomplishments, Mr. Woods was an exemplary gentleman; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
   1-14  gave unselfishly of his time to others; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Woods was a member of
   1-16  Cook Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, His wisdom, warm spirit, and valued counsel will
   1-18  not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, J. B. Woods was a devoted husband, father, and
   1-20  grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
   1-21  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-1  bereaved family of J. B. Woods:  his wife, Cleo Woods; his son
    2-2  and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Judy Woods; his daughter and
    2-3  son-in-law, Beth and Larry Gallagher; his granddaughters,
    2-4  Dawn Woods Waidelich, Wende Woods Downe, Kelly Gallagher, and
    2-5  Lori Gallagher; his grandsons, Jon Woods and Mike Gallagher;
    2-6  and his sister, Genecie McWhorter; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-8  the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
    2-9  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this
   2-10  day, it do so in memory of J. B. Woods.
