    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Police Chief Jim Lyons of the Springtown Police
    1-3  Department has been honored as Law Enforcement Officer of the Year,
    1-4  and the Texas Senate is pleased to commend him for receiving this
    1-5  significant honor; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The exceptional officer was praised for his work
    1-7  in a special ceremony at the annual Springtown Chamber of Commerce
    1-8  banquet on March 6, 1993; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Police Chief Lyons is one of those courageous men
   1-10  who risk their lives every day to protect the homes, neighborhoods,
   1-11  and communities of our citizens; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Jim Lyons is well known as an excellent lawman whose
   1-13  knowledge of his profession has made him a valuable law enforcement
   1-14  officer; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, This exemplary police chief is truly deserving of
   1-16  the honor bestowed on him; now, therefore, be it
   1-17        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-18  73rd Legislature, hereby recognize Police Chief Jim Lyons of
   1-19  the Springtown Police Department for his important contributions
   1-20  to the citizens of his community; and, be it further
   1-21        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   1-22  this distinguished officer as a token of the admiration of the
   1-23  Texas Senate.
