    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                          Lambert John Sladek
    1-5        WHEREAS, The death of Lambert John Sladek of Taylor, Texas,
    1-6  on March 24, 1993, at the age of 81, was greatly mourned by his
    1-7  fellow residents; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A native of Williamson County, Mr. Sladek was born
    1-9  on February 8, 1912, to Louis and Maria Sladek and lived in Taylor
   1-10  where he was involved in the life of the community; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, He married Elsie Hurta on December 6, 1937, and the
   1-12  devoted couple provided a loving home for their children; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, A lifelong farmer in the Taylor area, Mr. Sladek was
   1-14  proud of his profession; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Mr. Sladek was a devout Christian who lived his
   1-16  faith in his daily life; a member of the Catholic Church, he was
   1-17  a caretaker for Saint Mary's Cemetery for many years; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, The esteemed gentleman leaves a legacy of compassion
   1-19  and commitment that will be cherished by those who lived and worked
   1-20  with him; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
   1-23  family members of Lambert John Sladek:  his wife, Elsie; his
    2-1  daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Arthur Carter; his sons and
    2-2  daughters-in-law, Ruben and Sherry Sladek, Billy and Linda Sladek,
    2-3  and Howard and Brenda Sladek; his sister, Vlasta Kaspar; his
    2-4  sister-in-law, Mary Sladek; and his one granddaughter and eight
    2-5  grandsons; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-7  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
    2-8  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
    2-9  in memory of Lambert John Sladek.
