    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Gene Chavers who was recently honored for his
    1-4  years of loyal service to the Freestone County Fair; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Mr. Chavers is well known for his outstanding work
    1-6  in the Fairfield community; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, A talented leader and community volunteer,
    1-8  Mr. Chavers has served as a member and as a treasurer of the
    1-9  Freestone County Fair Commission for many years; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A dedicated and resourceful individual,
   1-11  Gene Chavers was presented with a silver trophy buckle at the
   1-12  Fairfield Chamber of Commerce banquet for his time and energy,
   1-13  so generously allocated, on behalf of the county fair; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman and a respected and
   1-15  beloved Fairfield citizen, Mr. Chavers has made countless
   1-16  contributions to his community and to Freestone County; now,
   1-17  therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Gene Chavers for his
   1-20  accomplishments and his hard work and extend best wishes
   1-21  to him for the future; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   1-23  him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
