    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Betty Drayer for her recent selection as the 1993
    1-4  Volunteer of the Year by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A respected civic leader and an active volunteer,
    1-6  Betty Drayer is well known for her many hours of volunteer work
    1-7  at Fairview Manor Nursing Home where she spends two or three hours
    1-8  a day; her work includes leading hymns and visiting with patients;
    1-9  and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A model of integrity, compassion, and generosity,
   1-11  Betty Drayer exhibits an enthusiasm for hard work that is inspiring
   1-12  to all who know her; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Betty Drayer's concern for others is legendary,
   1-14  and she has played a major role in the betterment of the Fairfield
   1-15  community; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary lady, Mrs. Drayer
   1-17  is a source of strength to many, and her worthy projects reflect
   1-18  her dedication and commitment to her fellowman; now, therefore,
   1-19  be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Betty Drayer on her humanitarian
   1-22  efforts and extend congratulations to her for this well-deserved
   1-23  award; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
