    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in recognizing Mark Johnson who has recently been selected
    1-4  for an international internship by the American Farrier Association;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, As a four-year recipient of the San Antonio
    1-7  Livestock Exposition Scholarship, Mark Johnson is an exceptionally
    1-8  talented student at Sul Ross State University where he majors in
    1-9  animal science and has a minor in horse science; honored as 1993
   1-10  Sul Ross State University Man of the Year, he has been named the
   1-11  Outstanding Student in Farrier Technology, has represented the
   1-12  school at the San Antonio and Houston Livestock shows, and is the
   1-13  president of the Hammer and Anvil Club and Delta Tau Alpha, the
   1-14  agriculture honor society; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Mark will graduate cum laude in May and, having
   1-16  won the American Farrier Association's international internship,
   1-17  will travel to Europe this summer; after working with European
   1-18  experts in the farrier technology field, he plans to settle in
   1-19  Texas; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, An exemplary and hardworking young man,
   1-21  Mark Johnson is a source of pride to his family and friends and
   1-22  to Sul Ross State University; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Mark Johnson for his exceptional
    2-2  achievements and extend congratulations to him on his selection
    2-3  for this prestigious international internship; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-5  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
