    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                             Ruby P. Cude
    1-5        WHEREAS, The death of Mrs. Ruby P. Cude of San Antonio, Texas,
    1-6  on April 29, 1993, at the age of 78 was deeply mourned by the
    1-7  residents of the city; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A well-known civic leader, Mrs. Cude will be
    1-9  remembered for her contributions to the community she served so
   1-10  well; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on
   1-12  December 29, 1914, Ruby had become an integral part of the
   1-13  Alamo City through her dedication to the various organizations
   1-14  that benefitted from her interest and talents; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, She was a member of the Old Trail Drivers of Texas
   1-16  and past president and past Honorary Lady Chairman of the
   1-17  State Association of Texas Pioneers; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Cude provided
   1-19  a loving home for her family; she took an active interest in
   1-20  her children's education and had served as president of
   1-21  Thomas Nelson Page Parent-Teacher Association; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and
   1-23  commitment that will be cherished by all those who were privileged
    2-1  to know her; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-4  members of her family:  her husband, Elton R. Cude, Sr.; her
    2-5  sons and daughter-in-law, Elton Cude, Jr., and Craig and
    2-6  Cherry Ann Cude; her daughter, Tomiko Cude; her grandchildren,
    2-7  Elton R. and Peggy Cude, Clarence Craig and Kellie Ann Cude,
    2-8  Cynthia Ann Cude, Maurice Alvarado, Sandra Quintero, and
    2-9  Denise Minor; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and James Stahl;
   2-10  her nieces, Susie Schliesing and Linda Collingsworth; and her
   2-11  great-grandchildren; and, be it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-13  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy
   2-14  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-15  it do so in memory of Ruby P. Cude.
