    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
    1-3  recognizing the Hildebrandt Intermediate School for earning second
    1-4  place in the middle school division of the H.E.B./General Land Office
    1-5  Environmental Challenge; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The students of Hildebrandt Intermediate School, under
    1-7  the guidance of teacher Dawn Trester, have studied water-related
    1-8  environmental projects and methods to save our food chain; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Resourceful and hardworking, the students have
   1-10  enthusiastically undertaken these environmental projects and have
   1-11  been instrumental in providing our state with significant
   1-12  information; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Considering the growing need for studying the
   1-14  environment and the effect of modern society on our ecology, it is
   1-15  highly commendable that these students are taking an active interest
   1-16  in this field and in the welfare of their community and state; now,
   1-17  therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  73rd Legislature, hereby laud the Hildebrandt Intermediate School
   1-20  for its environmental education program and the talented students who
   1-21  have worked so proficiently on their projects; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   1-23  school as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate.
