    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, For over 35 years, the citizens of Harris County
    1-3  have been loyally and faithfully served by Chief Medical Examiner
    1-4  Joseph A. Jachimczyk; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman has served the criminal
    1-6  justice system by analyzing medical findings in efforts to connect
    1-7  the guilty and clear the innocent; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Dr. Jachimczyk's name has become synonymous with
    1-9  truth and integrity; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, This innovative medical man helped originate the
   1-11  training of attorneys, physicians, law enforcement officers, and
   1-12  others in forensic medicine; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, He freely gave of his aptitude and intelligence for
   1-14  hundreds of hours in order to accomplish this training; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Having handled over 200,000 cases, many of them
   1-16  famous ones, Dr. Jachimczyk has earned a well-deserved reputation
   1-17  for thoroughness and accuracy; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, The entire population of Harris County has a
   1-19  great appreciation of Dr. Jachimczyk's unselfish gifts of time and
   1-20  talent; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, His diligence and ability in the performance of his
   1-22  duties are legendary; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, The recipient of many honors and awards,
    2-1  Dr. Jachimczyk pioneered the development of systems and cooperated
    2-2  in the procurement of human organs for transplantation and has been
    2-3  lauded for this cooperation; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  73rd Legislature, hereby commend and congratulate
    2-6  Dr. Joseph A. Jachimczyk for his outstanding service to
    2-7  the citizens of Harris County; and, be it further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-9  Dr. Jachimczyk as an expression of admiration and appreciation from
   2-10  the Texas Senate.
