    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The officers and employees of the Good Street Church
    1-3  Credit Union sorely miss the presence of Charles H. Love who retired
    1-4  from the office of Treasurer and Manager in March, 1993; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Courageous and patriotic, Mr. Love served honorably
    1-6  in the United States Armed forces during World War II; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Charles attended South West School of Business
    1-8  Administration in 1946 and 1948; he was enrolled in Bishop College
    1-9  Center in 1949 and 1950; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, This outstanding and productive citizen was employed
   1-11  by Texas Instruments from 1952 through 1982; during many of those
   1-12  years he served as a volunteer at the credit union; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. Love joined the credit union board of directors
   1-14  in 1962; in March, 1963, Mr. Love became Secretary of the Board of
   1-15  Directors and served in that position until February, 1978, when he
   1-16  became Treasurer and Manager of the Good Street Church Credit Union;
   1-17  and
   1-18        WHEREAS, He continued to hold those positions until his
   1-19  retirement; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, During Charles Love's tenure, the assets of the
   1-21  credit union grew from $10,000 to well over $1 million; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, This outstanding citizen has earned the respect and
   1-23  confidence of all with whom he associates by his willingness to help
    2-1  whenever his assistance is needed; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  73rd Legislature, hereby commend and applaud the years of service
    2-4  of Charles H. Love and extend to him best wishes for his future; and,
    2-5  be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-7  Mr. Love as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
