    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Aaron Hamilton Taylor who is graduating from the Austin
    1-4  Independent School District on May 27, 1993; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, For the past 11 years, Aaron has attended programs
    1-6  for multihandicapped students at Rosedale School that focus on
    1-7  functional skills activities; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, In the area of domestic skills he has participated
    1-9  in cooking by utilizing switch devices to operate small appliances
   1-10  and in grooming activities including teeth brushing and face washing;
   1-11  and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Aaron enjoys recreational sports, especially bowling
   1-13  and rollerskating which also help to increase his social and motor
   1-14  development; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Aaron has been a contributing member of his
   1-16  community through his work in the Texas Senate as a messenger, with
   1-17  the Texas Department of Health labeling envelopes for mailouts, and
   1-18  at Golfsmith International packaging golf tees; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, During the two years Aaron has worked as a Senate
   1-20  messenger he has learned to respond to those who greet him and to make
   1-21  eye contact with the person to whom he delivers mail; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, Following graduation Aaron expects to live at a
   1-23  small group home and continue his job as a Senate messenger; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, After years of hard work, dedication, and
    2-2  perseverance, this admirable young man can take pride in having
    2-3  earned his diploma from the Rosedale School functional skills
    2-4  program; now, therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-6  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Aaron Hamilton Taylor on his
    2-7  graduation from the Austin Independent School District and express
    2-8  sincere admiration to him for his achievement; and, be it further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-10  him as a memento of this important milestone in his life and as an
   2-11  expression of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
