    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, On May 25, 1943, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Weiss placed
    1-3  great faith and trust in the future and they have been amply
    1-4  rewarded as they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably throughout
    1-7  their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Weiss have steadfastly embraced
    1-8  traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, Jan and Stan have grown stronger
   1-10  in their love and devotion as together they have experienced the
   1-11  joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Residents of Houston for the past 25 years,
   1-13  Mr. and Mrs. Weiss have been blessed with a wonderful family:
   1-14  their children, Susie, Mark, and Shirley, and their four
   1-15  grandchildren; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, The happiness and respect they share are a shining
   1-17  example to all who are fortunate to know them; now, therefore, be
   1-18  it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-20  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
   1-21  Mr. and Mrs. Stan Weiss on their golden wedding anniversary; and,
   1-22  be it further
   1-23        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-1  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-2  their lives.
