    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Tona Oliver Jasper on the auspicious occasion of her
    1-4  graduation from The University of Texas School of Law; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Ms. Jasper received her undergraduate degree in
    1-6  marketing from the University of Alabama, in Huntsville, Alabama,
    1-7  in 1984; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, After having successfully completed her course
    1-9  work, Tona Jasper is graduating from The University of Texas School
   1-10  of Law on May 23, 1993; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A talented law student, Tona Jasper was an
   1-12  associate of the Women's Law Journal and served as a law clerk
   1-13  for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas during the fall of
   1-14  1992 and the spring of 1993; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Tona is an exemplary lady who establishes her goals
   1-16  and pursues them with perseverance and clear-sightedness; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Tona Jasper's notable accomplishments are evidence
   1-18  of her hard work and outstanding abilities, and she is a source of
   1-19  much pride to her family and her community; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Tona Oliver Jasper for earning a
   1-22  law degree from The University of Texas School of Law and extend
   1-23  to her best wishes for the years ahead; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
