    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Fifty-five years ago, on April 16, 1938,
    1-3  Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brown of Georgetown placed great faith and
    1-4  trust in the future and they have been amply rewarded as they
    1-5  recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably throughout
    1-7  their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Brown have steadfastly embraced
    1-8  traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, Allene and Bob have grown stronger
   1-10  in their love and devotion as together they have experienced the
   1-11  joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Brown have been blessed with a
   1-13  wonderful family:  their children, David and Evelyn; and their
   1-14  six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, The love and companionship they share are a shining
   1-16  example to all who are fortunate to know them; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Brown have lived in the Georgetown
   1-18  community all their lives and were active in farming and ranching
   1-19  in the area until their retirement; they are members of the Baptist
   1-20  Church in Weir; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
   1-23  Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brown on their 55th wedding anniversary; and,
    2-1  be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-4  their lives.
