No. 1000 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Birthdays are occasions to be joyously celebrated, 1-3 and so it was for Mrs. Inez Seay when she was the guest of honor 1-4 on her special day; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Since this was her 101st birthday, she has been 1-6 privileged to witness events many of us only read about in history 1-7 books; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Seay is a long time Mexia resident and a 1-9 retired schoolteacher; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The blessings of her long sojourn in this world are 1-11 evident as she recalls tales of years past; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Today, she enjoys reminiscing and takes pleasure 1-13 in the companionship of family and friends; and 1-14 WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of her community, 1-15 she is noted for her exemplary courage and her enthusiasm for 1-16 living each day to the fullest; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Friends and relatives of Mrs. Seay, including her 1-18 two sons, gathered to honor her in a manner befitting the event; 1-19 now, therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-21 73rd Legislature, hereby recognize Mrs. Inez Seay as a treasured 1-22 citizen of Mexia, Texas, and wish her health and happiness; and, 1-23 be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to her as 2-2 a token of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-3 _____________________________________ 2-4 President of the Senate 2-5 I hereby certify that the 2-6 above Resolution was adopted by 2-7 the Senate on May 20, 1993. 2-8 _____________________________________ 2-9 Secretary of the Senate 2-10 _____________________________________ 2-11 Member, Texas Senate
