No. 1012 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in 1-3 recognizing Michael Morgan McNally who was recently selected as 1-4 an outstanding young citizen by The Dallas Morning News; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Michael was one of 20 finalists chosen by 1-6 The Dallas Morning News for its 1993 teenage citizenship 1-7 tribute; and 1-8 WHEREAS, For 27 years, the newspaper has continued the 1-9 tradition of honoring 20 high school seniors who represent the 1-10 highest standards of citizenship; and 1-11 WHEREAS, The 1993 finalists are being recognized for their 1-12 outstanding community service and leadership ability and for the 1-13 numerous awards they have received; and 1-14 WHEREAS, In tribute to their achievements, the 20 finalists 1-15 are being honored on May 20 at a private awards ceremony; two 1-16 winners will be selected to receive $2,000 in savings bonds; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Michael is a student at Jesuit College Preparatory 1-18 School and is a respected leader in his class; throughout his 1-19 years in school, he has consistently manifested concern for others 1-20 and an avid interest in the betterment of his community; now, 1-21 therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-23 73rd Legislature, hereby commend Michael Morgan McNally on his 2-1 exceptional accomplishments and extend congratulations to him on 2-2 his selection as a finalist in the 27th Annual Teenage Citizenship 2-3 Tribute; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him 2-5 as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate. 2-6 _____________________________________ 2-7 President of the Senate 2-8 I hereby certify that the 2-9 above Resolution was adopted by 2-10 the Senate on May 22, 1993. 2-11 _____________________________________ 2-12 Secretary of the Senate 2-13 _____________________________________ 2-14 Member, Texas Senate
