    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Kelly Rueben Short who was recently named Outstanding
    1-4  Male Student from Episcopal High School in Houston, Texas, for 1993;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Nominees are chosen for this honor based on a
    1-7  combination of grades, participation in a wide range of
    1-8  extracurricular activities, service to the school, and service
    1-9  to the community; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Born June 28, 1975, Kelly graduated from Episcopal
   1-11  High School May 17, 1993; he plans to attend Texas Christian
   1-12  University in the fall; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, A popular student who is respected by his
   1-14  classmates, Kelly has demonstrated excellence in all his
   1-15  endeavors; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, This industrious young man is a source of much
   1-17  pride to his family, his school, and his community; now,
   1-18  therefore, be it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-20  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Kelly Rueben Short for his many
   1-21  accomplishments and extend congratulations to him for being chosen
   1-22  Outstanding Male Student for 1993 by Episcopal High School; and, be
   1-23  it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  this talented and gifted young man as an expression of high regard
    2-3  from the Texas Senate with best wishes for an outstanding future.
