    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in recognizing the Reagan High School Freshman Basketball
    1-4  Team for winning the 1993 Class 25 4A District Championship; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of head coach Roy Sosa,
    1-6  the Reagan High School freshman squad enjoyed a most rewarding year
    1-7  in boys basketball competition; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, The hard work and determination displayed by the
    1-9  players are a glowing testimonial to Roy Sosa's coaching methods;
   1-10  and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Emerging as the top team in highly competitive
   1-12  District 25 4A, the Reagan High School freshman team posted an
   1-13  impressive 20 wins against seven losses for the season, winning
   1-14  nine games against one loss in district play; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Their highly successful year is a tribute to
   1-16  the boys' outstanding talent and the loyal team spirit they
   1-17  consistently displayed; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, The team averaged 66 points per game and the defense
   1-19  allowed only 53 points per game; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The Reagan High School Freshman Basketball Team
   1-21  and their superb coaches are to be commended for their remarkable
   1-22  season: leading scorers, A. J. Jones, Anthony Jones, and
   1-23  Darryl Mann, and Chris Davis, Chris Collins, Efrin Morales,
    2-1  Duane Hosea, Mike Stowers, Rodrick Chaney, Charles Bryd,
    2-2  Michael Reed, Patrick Monroe, Ernest Quadimasil, Antoine Curry,
    2-3  and William West; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate the Reagan High School
    2-6  Freshman Basketball Team and their coach for their championship
    2-7  season and express best wishes to them for much future success;
    2-8  and, be it further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
   2-10  outstanding team as a memento of their 25 4A District Championship.
